A pair of Helical gears consists of a 26 teeth pinion meshing with a 77 teeth gear. The pinion rotates at 757rpm. The normal pressure angle is 20. while the helix angle is 25. The face width is 69mm and the normal module is 13mm. The pinion as well as gear are made of steel 40C8(Sut=795N/mm2) and heat treated to a surface hardness of 341BHN. Find the Beam Strength and Wear Strength

3KW power at 912rpm is supplied to the worm shaft. The number of starts for threads of worm are 3 with a 55mm pitch circle diameter. The worm wheel has 36 teeth with a 15mm module. The normal pressure angle is 20. Calculate efficiency of the worm gear drive. (Assume ยต=0.035)
